WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Aleto Inc. is seeking a Junior Oracle Developer to support our Government Client in Washington, DC remotely. The Junior Oracle Developer will assist our federal client by managing and analyzing complex data sets to provide them with accurate and critical information to both internal and external users in a timely fashion.  

Interview Process

If you are selected for an interview, you’ll be contacted for an interview through Google Meet or by telephone. The process averages 3 weeks from initial contact to interview. After all candidates are interviewed, Aleto will notify you of your application status. 

If an offer is extended, the start date is determined by availability and the amount of time it takes for the government background clearance process (depending on the client). 

Junior Oracle Programmer Developer Essential Job Duties:

Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
  • Technical Project Management documentation and collecting requirements.
  • Automate business requirements into SAS programs and support ad hoc requests.
  • Optimize existing SAS/SQL code - Troubleshoot and automate SAS and/or Python jobs and code.
  • Create visualizations, Dashboard, user stories, and reports for requested projects.
  • Develop and update technical documentation.
  • Maintain/modify SAS/SQL program and/or configuration file changes based on documented requirements.
  • Work with project teams to maintain and enhance source SAS code and process flows.
  • Perform QA checks to ensure data integrity of reporting and dashboard solutions.
  • Support complex Data Analytics and Business Intelligence projects in a federal government environment.
  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of a one-stop service center for scheduled and ad-hoc Geocoding requests.
  • Facilitate the Automation and Execution of scheduled Data processes.
  • Create and generate Data products and summary tabulations from multiple data sources.
  • Help prepare Data Requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and other technical documentation.
  • Support modernization of program scripts for data manipulation and visualization.
  • Participate in continuous data quality improvement and process streamlining efforts.

Qualifications/Capabilities/Software Knowledge:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with a bachelor’s degree or minimum of 3-5 years experience in a technical support role with demonstrated execution of tasks and projects relevant to Data Analytics, Data Science, and Business Intelligence.
  • Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle database technologies
  • Experience in translating business requirements into technical design for data products and Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Prior experience with housing Data is a plus.

Technological Skills:

  1. Proficient in SQL and PS/SQL.
  2. Proficient in SAS required.
  3. Experience in data analysis and data modeling.
  4. Design and develop technical solutions to pre-defined requirements.
  5. Experience in Analytical and Problem-Solving skills.
  6. Certifications in ORACLE/SAS Programming Desired. 
  7. Experience with SAS EG and familiarity with SAS Viya or SAS studio is a plus.
  8. Proficient in writing SQL Queries relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL
  9. Proficient in Python is a plus.
  10. Experience in Tableau and Power BI is a plus.
  11. A basic understanding of UNIX is a plus.

After 6 months of employment with Aleto, employees are eligible to apply for education reimbursement under Aleto’s Education Reimbursement Program. The program offers up to $5,250 of reimbursement per year for job-related training to help employees stay updated on key skills and competencies related to the demands of their industry and professions.

 

Environment and Physical Conditions 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time, move inside and around an office, position themself to access items located in high or low areas, and transport items weighing up to 20 pounds across the office. Requires the constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery and the ability to observe details at a close range typically within a few feet of the observer.  The employee interacts frequently with other workers, vendors, and clients and will communicate information and ideas so others will understand and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The position consistently requires work to be completed in an office environment with artificial light and air.
