What we are looking for   

Aleto Inc. is seeking to hire an HR Generalist to provide comprehensive support in various human resources functions including onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, benefits, offboarding, leave tracking, and compliance. This role is designed to help maintain a positive employee experience and ensure HR practices align with organizational goals. 

 Interview Process  

If you are selected for an interview, Aleto will contact you by email to arrange an interview via an online platform, such as MS Teams, Zoom, or by telephone. The entire interview process can average around 3 weeks from the time you are initially contacted to interview. After all candidates are interviewed, Aleto will notify you of your application status.   

If an offer is extended, the start date is determined based on factors such as availability and the amount of time it takes for the government's background clearance process (depending on the client).

HR Generalist-Essential Job Duties    

Duties include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.  

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS. 

  • Ensure confidential employee personal files are well-organized and up to date within the company’s designated secure location.  

  • Use discretion and maintain employee confidentiality when provided with sensitive information or materials.  

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed in accordance with local labor laws and company standards. Stay up to date with HR compliance requirements utilizing SHRM and other HR resources. 

  • Review company policy drafts and provide assistance with regular updates to the employee handbook.  

  • Facilitate and communicate organizational policies and programs and ensure labor law and regulatory compliance. 

  • Oversee the post offer onboarding process for new employees to include welcome emails, assigning onboarding documents and background checks, verifying and maintaining I-9 documentation, conducting new hire orientation, and overseeing benefits elections during the open enrollment window while utilizing Aleto’s employee platform.  

  • Provide support with employee benefits enrollments, changes, and inquiries. Assist in annual open enrollment processes and other benefit-related initiatives. 

  • Assign all performance management forms for employees and team leads during the tri-annual review periods utilizing Aleto’s automated process. Prompt the appropriate stakeholders as needed in order to meet the provided deadlines.  

  • Respond timely to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits and general concerns. Assign necessary follow up tasks to the appropriate staff member.  

  • Provide internal HR support and partnership to business lines. 

  • Assist in conflict resolution and maintain a positive workplace culture. Advise, facilitate, and guide the appropriate stakeholders through Aleto’s performance improvement process when necessary.  

  • Manage various employee engagement activities to include in person meetings throughout the year. 

  • Assist with creating content for the Tri-Annual employee All-Hands meetings.  

  • Organize training programs and employee development initiatives. 

  • Work with the Director of Communications to design and post internal content within the employee Intranet program and assist employees with user access and login questions.  

  • Participate in special projects, including employee engagement programs and HR process improvement initiatives. 

  • Assist with the offboarding process by sending required documentation, conducting exit surveys and processing end of employment paperwork through COBRA.  

  • Respond to employment verifications following Aleto’s process, policies and procedures.  

  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team. 

  • Deliver HR support to Aleto’s subsidiary company. 

Qualifications/Capabilities/Software Knowledge  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   

Qualifications/Education/Experience: 

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States 

  • Ability to pass a criminal records background check 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis on Human Resources is a plus  

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, and/or SPHR certifications highly desirable  

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience providing support within human resources functions  

  • Experience working with highly confidential and sensitive information  

Technological Skills: 

  • Proficient in Google Workspace and MS Office  

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Proficient with prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and providing status updates/timely follow through on various projects, events and issues. 

  • Proven ability to professionally deliver accurate information using superior written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Extreme attention to detail since this role requires numerous instances of handling and inputting highly sensitive HR information  

  • Effective decision-making ability that aligns with Aleto’s values, mission and strategy.  

  • Ability to interact with staff and vendors across all levels of the organization in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.  

  • Comfortable with presenting to large groups and facilitating presentations.

Pay Cycle   

Paydays are on the 10th and the 24th of each month.   

  • Medical Insurance  

Full-time employees are eligible to enroll in Aleto’s Aetna-sponsored health insurance plans. Aleto contributes $400 per month toward employee medical premiums, equal to 75% of the Employee Only premium for the HSA 3300 Base Plan. Employees may select from two HSA-eligible plans or a POS plan.  

  • Dental Insurance    

Aleto provides dental insurance coverage through the Aetna PPO 2000 plan. Aleto contributes 75% of the employee’s premium.  

  • Vision Insurance   

Aleto provides vision benefits coverage through the Aetna Preferred Vision.  Aleto contributes 75% of the employee’s premium.   

  • Pre-Tax Savings Accounts  

The option to enroll in an HSA or FSA depending on elected medical insurance coverage.   

  • Disability Insurance:   

Company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance.  

  • Life Insurance:  

Company-paid life insurance coverage.   

  • Paid Time Off:  

Paid time off includes eleven federal holidays. Full-time employees accrue PTO at the rate of 5 hours per pay period for a total of three weeks per year. In addition, employees are provided with a separate bank of 40 hours of paid sick leave per year.   

  • Retirement Plan:  

Aleto offers full-time employees a 401(k) qualified retirement plan.

Environment and Physical Conditions   

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time, move inside and around an office, position themself to access items located in high or low areas, and transport items weighing up to 20 pounds across the office. Requires the constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery and the ability to observe details at a close range typically within a few feet of the observer.  The employee interacts frequently with other workers, vendors, and clients and will communicate information and ideas so others will understand and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The position consistently requires work to be completed in an office environment with artificial light and air.
