What we are looking for:

Aleto Inc. is seeking to hire a Web Developer for a remote position supporting our government client in Washington, DC. The role involves developing and maintaining dynamic web applications using PHP, Angular, and . NET. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features while ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Key responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code, ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing legacy systems for compatibility with browsers like Microsoft Edge and Chrome. You'll also prepare test data, maintain technical documentation, and may need to provide after-hours support for releases. We're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented team player with strong analytical and interpersonal skills to support our IT team's full life-cycle development and maintenance for the federal government. 

Interview Process

If you are selected for an interview, Aleto will contact you by email to arrange an interview via an online platform, such as Google Meets, or by telephone. The entire interview process can average around 3 weeks from the time you are initially contacted to interview. After all candidates are interviewed, Aleto will notify you of your application status.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

 

Duties include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Utilize significant hands-on experience in web application and database development.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic web applications using PHP, Angular, and . NET.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements.
  • Work closely with both front-end and back-end developers to ensure optimal performance and scalability of applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices and coding standards.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and propose improvements.
  • Partner with designers, stakeholders, and project managers to deliver high-quality products on time.
  • Enhance legacy systems for compatibility with browsers such as Microsoft Edge and Chrome.
  • Prepare test data to support system testing activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation in a shared repository, including technical requirements, data dictionaries, data mappings, database designs, analysis reports, and standard operating procedures.
  • Be available for after-hours and weekend support as needed for releases and to address government priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications/Education/Experience:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree in information systems, IT, IT Management, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Math, or Science.
  • Proficiency in PHP, Angular, TypeScript, C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core 5 or higher, HTML5, CSS 3.0, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap with strong analytical skills.
  • Prior experience in federal consulting engagements is a plus.

Technological Skills:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in PHP, Angular, TypeScript, C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core 5 or higher, HTML5, CSS 3.0, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
  • Design and enhance user interfaces using Web Forms, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and server controls, while being familiar with editors like VSCode and Visual Studio. NET.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, as well as Docker/containerization, is a plus.
  • Experience with JSON responses is preferred.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

  • Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance:

Aleto employees are offered single, single-plus-one-dependent, or family medical, vision, and dental insurance plans. 

Aleto offers three medical plan options to employees. Aleto contributes 75% of the employee premium to the base medical plan and the option to “buy up” for the two additional plans. 

Aleto contributes 75% of the employee premium for the visions and dental plans.

The option to enroll in an HSA or FSA depending on elected medical insurance coverage. Dependent Care FSAs are also available.

  • Paid Time Off:

Paid time off includes eleven federal holidays. Full-time employees accrue PTO at the rate of 5 hours per pay period for a total of three weeks per year. In addition, employees are provided with a separate bank of 40 hours of paid sick leave per year. 

  • Retirement Plan:

Aleto offers full-time employees a 401(k) qualified retirement plan. The company will match 100% of the first 3% of the employee contribution, then match 50% of the next one-percent match of their contribution to the plan for a total of a 4% employer contribution.

  • Professional Development 

After 6 months of employment with Aleto, employees are eligible to apply for education reimbursement under Aleto’s Education Reimbursement Program. The program offers up to $5,250 of reimbursement per year for job-related training to help employees stay updated on key skills and competencies related to the demands of their industry and professions.

Environment and Physical Conditions 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time, move inside and around an office, position themself to access items located in high or low areas, and transport items weighing up to 20 pounds across the office. Requires the constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery and the ability to observe details at a close range typically within a few feet of the observer.  The employee interacts frequently with other workers, vendors, and clients and will communicate information and ideas so others will understand and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The position consistently requires work to be completed in an office environment with artificial light and air.
