What we are looking for  

Aleto, Inc. is seeking a Senior Program Manager who brings not only deep program-management expertise but also the independent judgment, critical thinking, and proactive leadership needed to excel in a complex, fast-paced environment. Success in this role means consistently taking initiative, doing the right thing without being asked, and earning the customer’s trust through reliable, transparent, and high-quality performance. 

The Senior Program Manager will oversee the performance of a Furniture & Services contract and serve as the primary Account Manager point of contact (POC) between Aleto and the Government. This includes full responsibility for managing performance, coordination, and execution of all Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) Call Orders. 

The Program Manager will have full authority to act on behalf of Aleto in all contract-related matters and is accountable for ensuring seamless daily operations. While based at contractor facilities, the PM is expected to spend meaningful time at the client’s locations to understand mission needs firsthand, anticipate challenges, and drive solutions that strengthen the customer relationship and advance mission objectives.

Senior Furniture Program Manager-Essential Job Duties  

Duties include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Serve as the primary POC to the Government for contract performance and coordination of all BPA Call Orders. 

  • Act as a Trusted Advisor to the customer. 

  • Support the customer by solving complex problems and overcoming design and logistical challenges. 

  • Manage and oversee all furniture and related services projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and compliance standards. 

  • Lead cross-functional teams across multiple sites, ensuring seamless communication and project execution. 

  • Direct logistics, phasing, risk mitigation, and resource allocation for large-scale furniture programs. 

  • Provide expert guidance on furniture procurement, design, ergonomics, and space planning. 

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable procurement and industry standards. 

  • Utilize project management software and design tools to plan, track, and report project progress. 

 SECONDARY JOB DUTIES 

  • Compliance with all Aleto processes, standards, and guidelines, including utilizing the employee and intranet platforms, clocking in and/or entering time on a daily basis, submitting expense reports, providing monthly progress reports, etc. 

  • Participate in recurring performance development meetings with your Aleto Team Lead to discuss current job tasks, promote open dialog/feedback, recognize and celebrate wins, and review positive and purposeful approaches for meeting work-related and professional development goals. 

  • Attend team meetings, tri-annual company All-Hands Meetings, and other company-sponsored team-building events to foster and support Aleto's core values, vision, and culture.  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY 

  • May direct employees' work in lower job classifications. 

  • Will assist in training newly hired departmental staff. 

  • Assess and rate employee performance. 

  • Will supervise work performed by subcontractors and other third-party vendors. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications / Education / Experience: 

  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for SCI access and Polygraph.  

  • Must successfully complete a government-issued polygraph at the time of contract award. 

  • U.S. Citizenship required 

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree/certification in Project Management, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. 

  • 5–8 years of experience in furniture procurement, facilities management, or workplace strategy.  

  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities with experience supervising staff and consultants.  

  • Proven capability to manage large-scale, multi-site furniture and warranty programs.  

  • In-depth understanding of commercial furniture products, ergonomics, and space planning.  

  • Experience with BIFMA, ANSI, LEED standards, and familiarity with GSA and FAR procurement regulations.  

Technological Skills: 

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project) 

  • Knowledge of IWMS/CAFM/Space Management Applications 

  • In-depth proficiency with AutoCAD and other design tools such as CAP and CET.

Environment and Physical Conditions   

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time, move inside and around an office, position themself to access items located in high or low areas, and transport items weighing up to 20 pounds across the office. Requires the constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery and the ability to observe details at a close range, typically within a few feet of the observer.  The employee interacts frequently with other workers, vendors, and clients, and will communicate information and ideas so others will understand, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The position consistently requires work to be completed in an office environment with artificial light and air.
